The best times to visit Dzongu are spring (April till end of May) and autumn (October to January).
Dzongu is well connected by road and it is approximately 70 kms north of Gangtok, the capital, which is a three hour drive. Dzongu can also be approached directly from Siliguri in West Bengal via the Singtam road, travelling 153 kms and takes about five hours.
The nearest Airport is Bagdogra in North Bengal, and the nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri. Both have connections to New Delhi and Kolkota.
